Happy 100th, Wynwood!

Wynwood turns 100 on January 7th, 2017! To celebrate, we picked 10 things to LOVE about the neighborhood, just in case you need another excuse to visit.

10. The Beer

This one is a no brainer for us. The Wynwood neighborhood is an epicenter of beer-culture in Miami. From our brewery neighbors like J Wakefield and Wynwood Brewing, to specialty beer bars like Boxelder and Kush, the beer scene is booming all around us.

* Stop in to the Social Hall on Saturday, January 7th for a special anniversary deal featuring 2 pints for $10 all day! *

9. The Food

Great beer is awesome, but when you find great food to go along with it, life is even better! Whether it’s a great burger from Bar Next Door, a taco from Coyo, or a more formal sit down experience from KYU, Wynwood Kitchen and Bar or Altar, Wynwood can provide you with any option you want.

8. The Cocktails

Like any good bunch of beer geeks, we love flavors, and cocktails are no exception. The choices are almost endless and we recommend walking the streets and finding your own favorites.

7. The Bars

Every bar in Wynwood has it’s own flavor and mystique. You can leave a high-end establishment, round the corner and walk into an amazing dive bar or anything in between!

6. The Art

We ARE the arts district, so loving the look of our neighborhood should come as no surprise. Simply walking around can give you views and viewpoints from all across the world. Wynwood has become a mecca for artists, local and abroad, and the ever-shifting landscape is something to really behold.

5. The Coffee

Ah yes, coffee. Why should this beverage get it’s own talking point? If you’ve been to Wynwood, and to a certain extent Miami in general, you’ve probably had coffee. There’s no wrong time to enjoy a cordadito, colada, or cup of iced coffee and Wynwood spots like Panther Coffee have some of the best around.

4. The Music

Live bands, DJs, and street corner brilliance. What don’t we have?! On any given evening, you can stroll through our neighborhood and find something pleasing for the ears.

3. The History

The history of Wynwood is all around. The original Windwood park is gone, but remnants of other pieces of the past are all around. The RC cola building, the Goldman building, Wynwood Walls and the garment district are still around and waiting for you to explore.

2. The Retail

An often overlooked aspect of the neighborhood is actually its history as the garment district. All up and down 5th avenue however, you can see that past in action. An entirely new wardrobe is waiting for you!

1. The People!

Wynwood is nothing if not a collection of strange, eclectic, and wonderful people. Come down, make new friends, explore new places and then swing by the brewery to enjoy a pint.
