Sola Sessions with Martini & Rod

Every Thursday night we host Sola Sessions at the Social Hall, a weekly rotating cast of live music in collaboration with our friends at Buskerfest. We feature a different artist each week and wanted to give you a behind-the-scenes look at some of the great talent we have performing at the brewery. Scroll down to learn all about the artist and then join us at the Social Hall on February 8th to experience the music for yourself.

Martini & Rod

Give a Listen!

Describe your sound in 5 words or less:

Funky, groovy, exciting, smooth and rockin’.

If you could jam with any other artist/group (dead or alive), who would it be and why?

Led-freaking-zeppelin and the reason why is because they are the BEST EVER!

What is your favorite beer? (Concrete Beach or other!)

I am a major fan of the IPAs. Any double IPA sounds and tastes good to me!

What music inspires you?

In the end, I am a rocker and more so, the classic rock music is the type that really gets me going. I love loud drums, screaming guitars and a strong vocal.

If you could steal credit for any great piece of art, song, film, book etc which one would you claim?

Any Beatles album I would want some credit. Not even the entire credit for it (lol) just give me a little credit for Sgt. Peppers and I’ll be happy!

If your band was a fruit salad, what would be in it?

I’m gonna go with a Juicy Fruit Salad made up of strawberries, kiwi, mangos and just one banana.

Coolest thing you’ve experienced together as a band?

One of the coolest things to ever happened occurred during our first gig together. We began playing Wonderwall by Oasis and the entire venue began singing along. They led the verse into the prechorus and then the chorus. It was so grand, I stopped playing and just listened. My musical heart was stolen.

Look to the future when you’re an international music phenomenon. What are the three things that will be on your band’s rider?

Popcorn, Netflix and my girlfriend.
